Have you heard of Mary Sherman Morgan? I hadn't until last week.
Mary Sherman morgan is the world's first female rocket scientist. I didn't know about her until last week when I first read the new book about her by her son, George Morgan. She kept her job identity secret from her friends and family for a very very long time. Even after she created Hydyne, the very fuel that boosted the Jupiter-C rocket, delivering the first satellite into space.
I apologize for the shortness of this post. I have lots of homework and not too much time, so this post had to be short and snappy. I will probably write a follow up to this one with more info when I have more time (probably tomorrow)!
Thanks for reading,
Buzz
